The Alliance helped organize and host the 27th annual Missouri state bee for the National Geographic Bee on March 27. Held on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, the bee featured 106 fourth through eighth graders from across the state.
Congratulations to this year’s champ, Nikhil Krishnan of Fenton, who took the title after three harrowing tiebreaker rounds in the final! Nikhil will travel to Washington, D.C. for the big event — the national bee — to be held May 11-13 at NatGeo headquarters. The national bee will be televised on National Geographic and NG Wild channels. Good luck, Nikhil!
Thank you to all of our volunteers, especially Tim Hill, who once again went above and beyond to coordinate this year’s state bee and ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for participants and audiences alike.
