The National Council for the Social Studies is the largest association in the country devoted solely to social studies education. It engages and supports educators in strengthening and advocating social studies, and serves as an umbrella organization for elementary, secondary, and college teachers.
The NCSS Annual Conference is December 2-4, 2016 in Washington, D.C. and a chance to join your social studies colleagues from around the US and the world. The theme this year will be Civic Learning and Cultural Inquiry in a Changing World.
