Water resource issues are one of today’s most critical topics in geography. We invite you to check out the Facilitating Learning through Outdoor Watershed (FLOW) Education course, which National Geographic is offering free to educators through Coursera.
This course is designed for classroom educators (grades 4-8) to learn about watersheds and outdoor education using the Chesapeake Bay watershed as an example. The course introduces technologies for investigating watersheds and helps you plan and implement outdoor experiences.
The first FLOW Education course will begin June 17 and last six weeks; expect to spend five to six hours per week working on the course.
